Albert Camus's "The Wedding at Tipasa" (1938) is one of my favorite writings: the author vividly depicts summer and the youthful rituals in Tipasa, with its Roman ruins and the sea below, celebrating the beauty of nature and bodies under the sun. "The possession of the wave" Camus's words echo in my mind, like a perfumer, as my thoughts wander among the scattered remnants between the sea and the mountains, listing the Algerian flora: bergamot trees, wild lemon balm, peppermint, Mediterranean pine, and prickly juniper in the "sunset" region. Diving into the water from the rocks, one morning in Tipasa.
